Casa bella is located at 1901 SE Grand Avenue at the south end of the eastside industrial district in Portland, Oregon. Our cross-street is Stephens; our front door actually faces Stephens Street. Stephens is approximately five blocks south of the Hawthorne bridge. Grand is a one-way street heading north and is the equivalent of SE 5th Avenue. To head south, take Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard ("MLK") — a one-way street going south and the equivalent of SE 4th. See below for more specific driving directions. From 1-5 Northbound:
1. As you come over the top deck of the Marquam bridge across from downtown, get in the far right lane.
2. Take Exit 300, toward 1-84. While you are still on the onramp to I-84, take another exit to your right marked "OMSI/Central Eastside."
3. Go straight at the four-way stop and take a right on MLK.
4. Get in the far left lane on MLK. This lane becomes a left-hand turn-only lane at Stephens Street. We take the whole city block between MLK and Grand, across the street from the Goodwill.
From I-5 Southbound
1. Take the Exit 300B, marked "OMSI/City Center"
2. Once you are on the exit ramp, stay in the left lane, toward Oregon City. This will take you back over the freeway.
3. Before the light at Grand, take the exit to your right marked "McLoughlin Blvd." This will put you in the far left lane on MLK.
4. Get in the far left lane on MLK. This lane becomes a left-hand turn-only lane at Stephens Street. We take the whole city block between MLK and Grand, across the street from the Goodwill.
From I-84
1. As you approach downtown, take the I-5 South exit.
2. Take the Exit 300B, marked "OMSI/City Center"
3. Once you are on the exit ramp, stay in the left lane, toward Oregon City. This will take you back over the freeway.
4. Before the light at Grand, take the exit to your right marked "McLoughlin Blvd." This will put you in the far left lane on MLK.
5. Get in the far left lane on MLK. This lane becomes a left-hand turn-only lane at Stephens Street. We take the whole city block between MLK and Grand, across the street from the Goodwill.
From Milwaukie, Gladstone or Sellwood
Take McLoughlin/99E Northbound. McLoughlin becomes Grand two blocks before you reach Stephens Street. The speed will change from 45 mph to 30 mph, and you should see the large peach-colored Goodwill building on your right. Stay in the far left lane and take a left on Mill, an immediate left on MLK, and a left on Stephens.
From Northeast Portland
Take Grand/MLK south until you reach Stephens Street. Stephens is 19 blocks south of Burnside.
From Downtown
There are many ways to reach us from downtown, but the easiest is to take the Morrison bridge across and take the McLoughlin exit to your right before you reach the light at Grand. This will put you in the far left lane on MLK. Get in the far left lane on MLK. This lane becomes a left-hand turn-only lane at Stephens Street. We take the whole city block between MLK and Grand, across the street from the Goodwill.
